About

David at the organ console of St Oswald's Parish Church, DurhamI am an organist, pianist, and choral director living in Durham, NE England. I am currently Director of Music at St Oswald’s Parish Church, Durham, and Secretary of the RSCM Durham Area Committee.

Growing up in South East London, I attended St Dunstan’s College in Catford, where I studied piano with Geoffrey Lambert and organ with Paul Gobey. I was organ scholar at St George’s Parish Church, Beckenham under Nigel Groome, and spent a gap year as Michael James Organ Scholar at Portsmouth Cathedral, learning from Oliver Hancock and David Price.

I studied Computer Science and Philosophy at Durham University, during which time I was also organ scholar (2013-4) and Director of Music (2014-present) at St Oswald’s Parish Church. I graduated in July 2016, and now work as a performer, teacher, and church musician.
